American Bully Info – A World of it’s Own
American bully info – a lesson on the history of the breed

The American Bully is a breed of dog that derives from the American Pit Bull Terrier and the American Staffordshire Terrier. It is highly suspected that various Bulldogs breeds were also used in it’s creation as well.
The American Bully came to fruition because of a preference and a popular desire to create something different than the standard written for the above mentioned breeds. The breeders wanted more! More muscle, more bone, more head, and an overall wow factor that was absent in some of the dogs seen as the standard of the breeds in which it derived from.
America is built on pushing the envelope, creating something better than your neighbors and promoting it as the best, never in history has a dog been created to out do other breeders as in the case of the American Bully!
Now american bully info would not be complete without knowing that creating a breed is one thing, it’s not a rarity, and it’s not something that has never happened before, or that will never happen again. What is a rarity, is creating an entire movement!
Creating careers, clothing lines, magazines, celebrities, changing lives, creating an entire world of like minded individuals and a community that at times loses itself within itself! The American Bully is the component that fuels conversation, debates and dialogue amongst scholars and garbage men. The dog has created a lifestyle that extends into other countries and across languages and beliefs.
How? Well the American Bully itself is impressive, but perhaps the most impressive aspect of the community is the god like worship that is bestowed upon a select few, that the community sees as the faces and icons of the breed. The bloodlines that are etched in stone into the fiber of the history of the breed.
American bully info about the fanatics
You can’t talk to an American Bully fanatic without hearing names such as Remy, Juan Gotti, Cairo, Dax, or bloodlines like Razorsedge or Gottiline. These names are synonymous with success in the breed and the individuals that have pushed the dogs, or the bloodlines, are just as revered or hated in some cases. The fact that a dog can gross over $100,000 in a lifetime sounds insane, but several dogs have done just that! Some have garnered over a quarter million dollars while some dogs have singly sold for over $50,000 alone! That creates a passion for the American Bully as a life changer that few breeds can challenge. True american bully info.
Why? Why did it happen? The answer is acceptance in the place of rejection. The community itself was founded on the fact that the founders felt rejected by other registries and die hard American Pit Bull Terrier owners. Their dogs didn’t fit, and the argument could be made that the owners didn’t fit as well.
They weren’t your typical show people, they were younger, brasher and at times, I’m sure a certain segment was viewed as more urban. The need for their own place was pressing! A need to have an arena to showcase what they had and what they had created, pushed the breed into a registry, well into several registries to be exact, but it was the ABKC that became the home of the American Bully.
It was the ABKC that was the cornerstone of magazines such as the nationally distributed Atomic Dogg Magazine, the creation of Bully products that were sold early and often that benefited the breed such as our very own BullyMax. The community became a world that was self sufficient, it was entirely operated by those in the community and the need for outside influence was not needed.
Now the American Bully has been accepted by the very registries that refuted it’s existence and ostracized the people that pushed the movement. The American Bully is now accepted in the United Kennel Club, but the truth is the American Bully World is too large for only the UKC. The breed and the people have pushed too hard to be thrown into a box.

There are too many business ventures that were birthed in the whelping box of the American Bully community. The growth may have slowed in some areas, but it has sky rocketed in other venues. The show scene is at an all time high, with shows all over the country and with nationally ranked Bullies that are now being known even outside of the Bully community. The registry is more professional, it’s judges are more experienced and the involvement in breed issues such as Breed Specific Legislation and helping rescue organizations that are fighting the overpopulation issues facing the Bully breeds has increased.
With all that being said the true sign of the world is found in the pride of the T-Shirts, the celebrities within the community, the DVDs and the news coverage that is now a regular part of the American Bully show. The true proof of the community surrounding the American Bully is felt in the passion and pride of those caring for the breed! The American Bully is in the early stages of it’s growth, but the future is bright for the breed that has created a world of it’s own!
